Urban Stewardship
CropLife Canada is involved in industry-wide and public education, communication, stewardship, legislation and regulation relating to pest management in the urban environment. CropLife is dedicated to the protection of community health and the environment.
Key urban stewardship activities include:
- Manufacturing standards - to include non-agricultural formulation plants in Canada
- Implementing a code of conduct and marketing standards
- Training and certification relating to responsible pest management for consumers and professionals
- Providing consumers with information, including a new website
- Urban pest management courses at the Universities of Guelph and Saskatchewan
- Supporting the Integrated Pest Management accreditation for professionals
- Container management recycling for consumer and professional markets
