Crop Compliance Management for Confined Field Trials in Canada
CropLife Canada is offering its annual field trial and greenhouse research compliance management training program for researchers, field trial managers and compliance officers involved in working with plants novel traits (PNTs) and/or conducting confined field trials in Canada. This program, updated annually with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), consists of a one-day workshop of in-class instruction, with an in-depth training program providing instruction on how to comply with CFIA regulations involving confined field trials of PNTs, greenhouse containment guidelines, and compliance for confined trials for Plant Molecular Farming (PMF). Successful participants receive certification for the workshop.
What is this course?
- An in-depth training program providing instruction on how to comply with CFIA regulations involving confined field trials of plants with novel traits, as defined by CFIA
- A full-day workshop including modules focused on field trial regulation, greenhouse containment guidelines, and working with plant made pharmaceuticals (PMPs)
- A uniform approach to compliance management that fully meets the requirements of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, the authorizing regulatory body
