Agri-chemical Warehousing Standards Association
The Agrichemical Warehouse Standards Association (AWSA) – the largest industry self-regulated program in Canada – exists to reduce the risks of fires, spills and industrial accidents. The AWSA standard provides assurances that crop protection products are being stored and distributed in a safe and responsible manner. In 2006, 25 trained auditors certified 1486 facilities nationally, for safe pesticide storage, representing all of the agri-chemical warehouses across Canada.
